Meet Deep-Sea Dave, enthusiastic spokesfish of famous Davis Bros' famous Coddies fishcakes and other famous canned seafoods! Personally, I think he's better than the Gorton's Fisherman, Captain Birdseye, and Mrs. Paul combined. Although, I am partial to the fish featured in this Mrs. Paul's advertisement.
Here's another look at Deep-Sea Dave, although I daresay, he didn't age well. It could be his all-fish diet.

I'm really rusty. I can't believe I forgot to say that this advertisement is from the November 1947 issue of Woman's Home Companion Magazine! I blame the heat.
